School of Arts & Humanities

One Vision. One Mission. Students First.

Gifts of every size move the University forward.

Help keep the arts and humanities flourishing at Stockton University and in the surrounding locale. Creative pursuits enhance and enrich learning experiences for students, faculty, staff and the community at large who recognize Stockton as a significant cultural hub.

A worthy investment, arts and humanities are at the heart of a comprehensive liberal arts education that promotes innovation, critical thinking, oral/written communication and complex problem-solving skills employers seek. The following priorities will be supported through Ospreys Give 2019:

  • Arts & Humanities Study Abroad Fund — Students, particularly those from underrepresented populations, do not have the means to study abroad, though those that go abroad find international travel transformative. The School of Arts & Humanities wants to make it possible for as many students as possible to travel abroad.

  • Communications Enrichment Opportunities — Supports communications enrichment opportunities, such as internships like the TV Community Partners internship where students crew Stockton-produced television shows; student research, editing and input on publications and exhibits created through South Jersey Culture & History Center and the Noyes Arts Garage; and student presentations and performances at regional, national and international conferences.

  • Dean’s Excellence Fund — Under the Dean’s guidance, this fund allocates to areas of priority and need within the School of Arts & Humanities.

Who We Are

The artists and scholars who make up the School of Arts and Humanities faculty demonstrate their mastery of these skills through their own increasingly prominent scholarly and creative work and through teaching. The faculty’s ongoing commitment to pedagogical innovations give students exciting opportunities to apply what they learn through exhibitions, performances, presentations, research, internships and travel.
