School of Health Sciences

Keep health, wellness and medicine priorities in South Jersey by supporting the School of Health Sciences. An ever-evolving curriculum, state-of-the-art learning facilities and implementation of innovative instructional technologies makes it possible for the next generation of health care practitioners to hone their craft and acquire the knowledge they need to succeed in demanding work environments.

A gift to the School of Health Sciences enables faculty and students to teach, learn, serve the community, research and practice clinical scholarship. The following priorities will be supported through Ospreys Give 2019:

  • Dean's Excellence Fund — Under the Dean’s guidance, gifts will be allocated to academic areas and special programming as needed.

  • Exercise Science Student Travel Fund — Supports Exercise Science students by underwriting the costs of travel to and attendance at regional and national conferences, enabling students to present their research findings.

  • Nursing Learning Laboratory — Proceeds allow for the purchase and maintenance of equipment for the Nursing Lab, a critical facility that enables students to obtain hands-on learning experiences. Outfitted like a professional medical office, the Nursing Lab provides students with a simulated work environment where they can hone their skills working with patients in physical assessment examination rooms.

  • Speech and Hearing Clinic — Gifts provide financial support to clients enrolled in the Speech and Hearing Clinic, which offers therapeutic and evaluative services for a variety of communication disorders, they may not otherwise be able to afford.

Who We Are

The School of Health Sciences provides students with rigorous preparation for careers in health care including nursing, communication disorders, exercise science, public health, occupational therapy and physical therapy. The School strives to cultivate supportive relationships with its community partners, infuse an attitude of lifelong learning among students and provide excellence in health care to improve quality of life for those it serves.
