Who we are:

The EOF program is a state funded initiative created by an act of legislation in 1968. EOF is designed to provide access to higher education for students from families/communities disadvantaged by low income and the lack of access to the quality educational preparation necessary to attend college. The access and opportunity provided by the Fund is not limited to student enrollment goals:  it also focuses on student success.  The program has been in existence at Stockton since 1971.

EOF provides support for educational initiatives, support services, and leadership development activities that assist students to improve their chances of success at the institution and prepares them for the changing world of work and to assume leadership in their communities and the state.

The mission of the Stockton University EOF program is to provide access/admissions and support services designed to retain and graduate, to students who lack economic resources and adequate academic preparation, but are capable and motivated to purse higher education.

Why we need your support:

  • The increased costs of a college education has impacted many students in the State of New Jersey.

  • 2/3 of our students come from households that cannot contribute anything to their educational costs.

  • In addition to tuition and fees, and housing, the additional  costs of books, calculators, specialized access codes and laptop computers has become an enormous burden on the EOF student .

  • State and federal aid programs have not kept pace with the rising costs of education.

  • Due to financial limitations, our lending library is not able to keep up with the changing needs of our students.

  • Financial barriers limit our students' participation in enhanced learning activities such as conferences and study abroad.

How you can help:

As an EOF program, we strive to academically support students both in the classroom and with resources. Textbooks, calculators, specialized access codes and laptop computers are intended to help students learn but can have the opposite effect if the cost is out of reach. Research has linked financial barriers to negative academic consequences. This issue is more than a financial concern: it is a threat to our students’ success.

Make an impact and a gift today by contributing to one of our EOF priorities:

  • Lending Library - provide funding that allows students to purchase books and supplies on a "lend-lease" basis

  • Technology - provide funding for technology access codes, and repair and/or replacement of laptop computers

  • Travel - provide access to personal and professional enrichment opportunities at conferences and organized study abroad trips
